FREQUENT QUESTIONS

Still have more questions? Here are a few we get asked the most.

Yes, we do. We work with your schedule and provide a fast and easy estimate. We use satellite technology to measure your yard and prepare your preliminary estimate without the need to schedule a visit or take time out of your day!

Typically, installations take approximately 1-3 days to complete depending on the scope of your project. We space out our working days to allow time for cement to set. Of course, there are exceptions that could add time to your project. For example, custom sizing of gates or sections may need to be ordered after posts are set. We will be fully transparent with you and explain the entire project timeline up front.

No, we do not match competitor prices. Our satisfied customers choose Henderson Fence because they want the peace of mind of working with a professional company. Discount installers from the big box stores have little incentive to go above and beyond for customers, and the quality and workmanship are usually sub-par. Check our reviews on Google and Facebook and compare them to the discount installers. We have top reviews, top products, and guarantee our work.

We will be fully transparent and honest with you up front about the installation time frame. It will depend on the type of fence being installed as well as the time of year. We work year-round and can install in any season! Fence installations that require permits or custom materials can take 5-6 weeks before installation can begin. We can begin installations that don’t require those items in less than 4 weeks. During the busy spring and summer months, installations may take more than 6 weeks before beginning. Contact us and we’ll be glad to share our estimated timeframe with you!

Yes we will! We will work with you to gather the necessary documents required by your city/township. Some required documents may include:

  • Your mortgage survey
  • Signatures of your neighbors
  • Association/HOA approvals
  • Notarization of signatures

We do not install fences without the required permits.

You’ll need to provide us with your mortgage survey or another property survey to determine the property lines. If you don’t have a survey, you may be able to obtain it through your mortgage company, city/municipal building department, or public record. Contact us and we can suggest where to inquire.

We will thoroughly explain to you all standard manufacturer product warranties. Manufacturer warranties vary based on the product type:

  • Aluminum and Vinyl Fencing: Lifetime Warranty
  • Chain Link Fencing: 12 year Warranty
  • Wood Fencing: no manufacturer warranty, due to the fact that all wood products will eventually degrade

Henderson Fence is proud to offer a lifetime warranty on our workmanship for new fence installations. We take pride in going above and beyond our customers expectations. Things like damaged products or hardware defects are not covered under our workmanship warranty, but they may be covered under the manufacturer warranties.

We install a wide variety of fences to serve both residential and commercial customers.

  • Vinyl Fencing
  • Wood Fencing
  • Chain Link Fencing
  • Aluminum Fencing

Contact us and we’ll be happy to discuss what options will be best for you!

Yes, we do. During our initial planning, we will schedule MISS DIG to come to your property and mark all underground utilities. Typically this is scheduled one week prior to the installation. Please let us know of any existing lines that were not installed by utility providers, including barbecue grill gas lines, electric lines running to a garage, landscape wiring, etc. These lines will NOT be identified by MISS DIG.
Most fence posts are installed at a depth of 36-42 inches. We want the cement to be set below frost level to prevent heaving, and will follow any local fencing ordinances in your city or township.
We install only the highest quality material for all fencing types. These companies are in many cases local to Michigan, and in all cases are made proudly in the USA.
Yes, we typically ask for 50% down to begin work.
